Tudor House

Just a few metres back from the harbour between the waterfront and Brewers Quay is the Tudor House, a beautifully restored merchants house in timber and Portland Stone.

One of Weymouth's few remaining Tudor buildings, Tudor House originally stood on the edge of an inlet from the harbour and is thought to have been a merchants house. It is furnished as the home of an early seventeenth century middle class family and the guided tours explain aspects of the life during that time. Today it is owned and operated by Weymouth Civic Society, a registered charity.

The Tudor House is open for guided tours from June to the end of September from Tuesday to Friday with tours starting at 11am each day.
