Old Harbour Ferry
At the harbourside, White Motor Boats ferry service will take you on a refreshing sea journey to Portland, Lulworth and the Jurassic Coast, using the famous "My Girl" pleasure boat.
Serving in World War II from 1939 to 1946 transporting troops, ammunition and stores to the Breakwater Forts and Navy Base in Portland Harbour, 'My Girl' safely carried nearly a quarter of a million men by the end of the war.
Operating in Weymouth as a pleasure boat since 1947, 'My Girl' has been the subject of television articles and magazines and the book 'Weymouth at War' and in 2002 was invited to register with the Historic Fleet of the United Kingdom as No 292.
Still in the same family today and proudly flying her unique Artillery Association pennant, 'My Girl' continues to serve Weymouth & Portland carrying holidaymakers and local residents to Portland Castle.
Special cruises and group bookings can be arranged to suit your needs. For timetables and fares please call in at the Harbourside Kiosk on Trinity Road, Weymouth.
