Christmas Countdown at Brewers Quay

Enjoy the tradition of shopkeepers in Victorian costume, children singing carols in the glazed courtyard, watch the craft demonstrations and try the tastings in our Village Stores and catch the smell of Christmas lunch drifting through the air, visit our fairytale Grotto and browse along the cobbled streets decked out with beautiful decorations – a taste of how Christmas used to be.

Our indoor shopping village is full of character and bursting with thousands of imaginative gift ideas from our 20 specialist stores – everything from gift hampers to hand made chocolates - candles and collectible glassware to festive candles – nautical and nostalgia products to fine collector’s pieces– local crafts, leather & patchwork and a tempting range of seasonal provisions to add a little sparkle to any Christmas pantry. As an added bonus, Brewers Quay will even take care of your gift-wrapping in Quay Moments.

As well as shopping, there are children’s workshops, our free exhibition called “Steam in Miniature”, craft demonstrations including glass engraving, pottery and woodturning, family attractions and a full programme of carol singing by local schools and choirs. For younger visitors, Santa will be in his Grotto every weekend from Saturday 26th November. Entry is just £1.00p, with half the proceeds being donated directly to CLIC (Cancer & Leukaemia in Childhood)

We will also be open until 10pm on 24th November for Victorian Shownight when we stage our own Christmas food market in Hope Square complete with 16 stalls displaying Dorset produce and one from Germany featuring traditional gluwein and bratwurst sausages. A traditional steam organ provides atmospheric music in the square while inside the shopping village we have tastings, demonstrations, hand bell ringers and of course Santa in his grotto.

Brewers Quay is open seven days a week and entry into the shopping complex is free of charge. Traditional Christmas dinner packages are also available to booked groups as well as our seasonal restaurant menu.
