Harbour Events 2006

Weymouth's Old Harbour came alive over May half term week with not one, but two festivals!

The Weymouth Food & Oyster Festival was held from 27-29 May. Building on the success of previous Oyster Festivals, the celebrations took place in Hope Square - in front of Brewers Quay. Thousands of people joined us for a feast of seafood, as well as local and international cuisine!

This was shortly followed by the Wessex Folk Festival on 2-4 June. A colourful and musical celebration took place on the harbourside, in Hope Square, and in various places around the town, including the Pavilion Theatre.

A great time was had by all! And if you didn't manage to visit this year, then book your place for the 2007 events!
